Role Overview

The Director of Growth & Partnerships is responsible for building scalable sources of qualified pipeline for Vector through go-to-market strategy, strategic partnerships, referrals, events, targeted market development, and prospect engagement.

This is a highly external and hands-on role. The Director will actively build relationships, personally source opportunities, develop new channels, and create programs that consistently bring Vector into the right conversations. The role requires up to 50% travel for conferences, industry events, partner meetings, prospect engagement, and other relationship-building opportunities.

The role operates across two distinct commercial motions with different ownership models:

  1. Partnership-Sourced Growth: Partnerships operate under an “eat what you kill” model. The Director owns the strategic partner relationship and any resulting opportunities from origination through close. This includes building the relationship, generating the opportunity, qualifying it, managing the commercial process, negotiating, and ultimately closing the business. Success is measured by partnership-sourced pipeline and closed revenue.
  2. Demand Generation & Market Development: For opportunities generated through broader GTM activities, campaigns, events, nurture, inbound interest, targeted outreach, and other non-partnership channels, the Director owns demand creation and qualification. Once an opportunity meets agreed qualification criteria, it is handed to the VP of Sales, who owns the opportunity through the sales process and close.

The Director will also serve as the primary commercial partner to Vector’s outsourced marketing firm, ensuring that marketing activity supports the company’s GTM priorities and commercial goals. The marketing partner owns specialized execution across brand, website, content, PR, creative, and digital marketing, while the Director owns the commercial strategy, audiences, priorities, and desired commercial outcomes behind those efforts.
